Meet the band
All That Jazz is most often requested as a jazz quartet. When performing as a four-piece, the lineup is:
Bob Berrigan, piano / vocals

Band leader Bob supplies piano, keyboard and vocals.
Bob is a solo performer with decades of professional experience, and has accompanied local and international artists.
Bob grew up on classical music, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones; playing popular music and having fun. His love of jazz was aroused whilst doing an intensive course at Sydney Conservatorium of Music with visiting American jazz musicians from the Mel Lewis Big Band. Bob says, “Learning and improvising jazz from pianists like Duke Ellington, Errol Garner, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson and many more makes playing all styles of music more rewarding.”
Alan Clarke, alto, tenor & soprano saxophone / guitar / vocals

Alan Clarke plays alto, tenor and soprano saxophones, guitar and vocals. He started playing when he was 16, joining his brother’s band 12 months later. Alan played in many bands and also worked as a session musician for other bands.
Originally from Northern Ireland, Alan moved to Australia at 11 years of age when his parents moved the family to Sydney.
Alan’s first instrument was the trumpet and he has pursued his interest in music to become a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, saxophone, clarinet and piano.
Bob Berrigan and Alan Clarke got together at a mutual friend’s birthday party where Bob was playing piano. She asked if Alan could sit in and jam on saxophone and guitar. After playing a few numbers like “Summertime”, they clicked and All That Jazz was born.
“Funky” Phil Lawson, bass guitar and vocals

Phil has played bass with many international and Australian artists, and as a session recording musician. He has performed with Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Renee Geyer, Max Merritt, Richard Clapton, Slim Dusty, Col Joye and Julie Anthony.
Now residing on the mid north coast of NSW, Phil is a piano tuner and restorer, operating his business Lawson’s Piano Services as well as performing with All That Jazz.
John Proud, drums and percussion

John Proud has played drums and percussion since the 60s with artists such as Renee Geyer, John Paul Young and Doug Parkinson. He worked with groundbreaking jazz/rock fusion band Crossfire. John played and studied in South America and has recorded many albums as a session musician.
